3-Time Santa Maria Sprint Car Champion Jimmy Thompson scored the win at his
home track for the J.B. Dewar/Bandit Sprint Cars. Rounding out the top five
were points leader Aaron Altaffer, new track record holder Josh Wise, Richard
Harvey Jr., and Bobby Elliott.
In time trials, 6 of the 26 cars (Aaron Altaffer, Josh Davis,
Bobby Elliott, Jimmy Thompson, Davey Pombo, and Josh Wise) on hand broke the
old track record. Riverside's Josh Wise set the new standard in the Sala #19S
with a 13.574.
Heat races were won by Jeff Fiscus, Aaron Altaffer, Greg
Porte, and Darren Simas. John Burnett scored the win in the B-Main and
transferred to the feature along with Aaron Chaney, Jason May, Bobby Davis,
Evan Suggs, and Dave Knott.
