Quarter Midgets:
Quarter Midget Racing is for Kids 5 - 16 years of age. Some of these
kids can race before they can even tie their shoes! There are many
clubs across the United States. Most are sanctioned by QMA
(Quarter Midgets of America) and some are called "Outlaw
Clubs".
Kids are taken through "Novice" Training Classes before they
ever get to race. They learn what all the flags mean and how to
drive on the track. They learn how to "race safe".
Quarter Midget Race Cars are caged cars. The drivers
are strapped in and surrounded by a tig welded roll cage. Snell
approved helmets, wrist restraints, and neck collars are mandatory.
Quarter Midget Race Car Drivers "stay in the seat." Quarter
Midget Racing has been around for a number of years and many Quarter
Midget Racers have gone on to many other venues of racing.
