On a hot night and with a bumpy track several flips occurred. In the Sprint
car Main, Rookie #38 Don Brown took a tumble on Lap 4. Two Laps later #76 Tim
Jones also flipped in turn two. New Point leader #16 Tom Ball took the lead on
Lap 16 of the 20 lap victory over #0 Steve Nix, #22 Bo Baker, #17 Ron King,
and #77 Tim West
Kelly Denison won our first heat over Ron King while Tim West won the second
Heat from Dwayne Taylor. Joe Larkin Jr. nipped Miles Merritt in our third
Heat.
Friday Sept 13th 2002 NMMRA will host its first Old Timers night with Heat,
Dashes, a "B" Main and a 35 Lap Feature.
