Kruseman led the main green to checkered for his first win of 2002. Scott very impressive from 8th to 2nd. Jones was spectacular coming from 14th to 3rd. Gaunt started fourth and dropped back as far as 15th before clawing his way back to 7th place finish. Griffin changed an engine between the dash and the main. Troy Rutherford had a flat tire in the B Main and did not transfer. His teammate, Indiana’s Tony Elliott, graciously stepped out of
his car and a 8th place starting spot in the A main to let Rutherford have the ride.
Flock flipped on the first lap of the main due to a big tangle in front of him. He was out for the night. Sherman and Ostling brought a red flag a few laps later with Sherman tipping over. Both restarted at the back. Mitchell, who went from 16th to about 6th, got upside down hard in the main in turn one. All drivers were uninjured.
The PAS will be dark next Saturday night so everyone can spend the Easter weekend with family and friends. Vista Paint will next present the NAPA Auto Parts/Auto Trader Magazine SCRA Sprint Cars at The PAS on April 13th. Joining them will be the new USAC Ford Focus Midget Series. Spectator gates will open at 4:00 and the first race will be at 6:30 PM each night.
