Laps Led: Brent Kaeding 1-8, Bud Kaeding 9-50
Great battle for the lead and the $25,000.00 first place check late in the
race between Bud Kaeding and Tony Jones. Jones did throw a slide job and
led briefly near the end, but Kaeding got back by him. Brent Kaeding was
an early contender as well and briefly led the race. Rodney Argo was very
strong early on.
Several cars upside down in the Main including Danny Sheridan, Tracy Hines,
Rodney Argo, and Rip Williams. All escaped unscathed with the exception
of Hines who emerged with the legs (lower) of his first suit in flames.
Tracy complained of a sore ankle. At first it was thought to be burns,
but his ankle may have been broken.
