of the first five rows in Saturday’s 50-lap A main. Inverted with fifth
fastest on the pole. Kaeding will be on the pole with Argo inside row
two, Yeley inside row three, Williams inside row four and Griffin in inside
row 5.
Heat #1 saw fan favorite Cal Smith
lead for about 8 laps (over JJ Yeley, Richard Griffin, Tracy Hines, Rodney
Argo, & Tony Elliott) until passed by Yeley.
The wildest ride of the night goes
to Gary W. Howard, who was in a battle for the final transfer spot of Heat #3.
Howard and Bud Kaeding made contact, which sent the Ruth #25 into the turn 3/4
wall. Howard was ok, but done for the night.
Rookie Bobby Cody won his first
ever Sprint Car race in heat 4 and transferred to his first Main Events.
