Kruseman won his third straight SCRA main at The PAS with room to spare.
Kirby led much of the way, but once Kruseman got past, he easily outdistanced
the field. Jones was in the #50 car subbing for Richard Griffin. Rip
Williams pulled in due to a bad vibration in the “B” main and Steve
Ostling
also dropped out of the “B” with engine problems (Ostling flipped in turn
one in his heat race as well).
Night was marred by a Heat 2 flip down the back straight by George Gervais.
He was taken to the hospital.
Kevin White flipped in turn one in qualifying and his car got stuck at the
top of the catch fence. Kevin was momentarily knocked out, but was able
to
get out of the car under his own power. It took nearly a half hour to
get
his car down from the fence. Jeff Schildmeyer got upside down in the
“B”
main, but was uninjured.
