Kruseman won from the pole with room to spare. Great battle for second
between Sheridan and Kirby as they traded second back and forth three times
on the final lap. Extremely good racing behind Kruseman (he was on another
planet again) as several cars came from deep in the field to post top 10
finishes. Very impressive performance by Mitchell who moved from 12th to 2nd
before finishing 4th. Other big mover in the main event included Sheridan
(14th to 3rd), Williams (18th to 5th), Sherman (22nd to 6th), Ostling (15th
to 7th). Sherman and Jones both made the “A” main after starting the night
in the “C” main. John Scott blew a right rear tire while running third
around lap 20. Kirby and Gaunt teamed to win the Cruiser main.
