Cory Kruseman became the first driver to win a main event from the pole at The
PAS since 1999. It was a dominating performance by Kruseman. Alex Grigoreas had a power steering pump problem and dropped out of the main while
battling
Kirby for fourth.
Danny Sheridan tipped er’ over on his first qualifying attempt. The Moose
Racing crew had it back together before the end of qualifying and Sheridan
got one lap and turned an 18.096 putting him in the “C” Main. He
came from
sixth to finish second in the “C” main. Took third in his heat after
starting
ninth and went from 22nd to ninth in the “A” Main.
Only other flip on the night was “Smokin’” Joe Winston. In a car
purchased
from Jim Giardina, Winston rode over Ronnie Clark’s wheel in turn one on lap
one of the “C” Main and flipped violently (most estimates had him going
over
8 times), but he walked away unhurt.
Adam Mitchell lost an engine in hot laps and was done for the night.
