Huge crowd and 54 cars on hand. Kruseman built a big lead in the early going.
Griffin caught him after a red flag and scored the win going away with Cline
also getting by Kruseman for second. Kruseman looked unbeatable early on
winning his heat from 8th and the Passing Masters Dash.

Three of the heats were won from the 8th position.

Mike Kirby debuted a brand new Gaerte Engine.

Best show of the night was Mike English. He won the “B” Main by running
  the
cushion after starting 12th. In the “A’ Main, English started 18th and
using both the inside (mostly) and the outside, he advanced as far as fourth before
  finishing 6th.

Tony Jones, who came into the night third in points, had a terrible night. Engine problems plagued him from the time they unloaded the car. He finished
second in the “C” main and transferred to the heats. In his heat, he lost
power going turn three, broke a shock tower and hit the wall. John Sarale, in
Ron DiDonato’s #57, then hit Jones and tipped over. In the “B” main,
  Jones
had a brake problem, lost a lap in the pits, and then called it a night.

Only two hard flips on the night. Gervais in the main and Steve Koster in qualifying. Gervais was having one of his best nights having qualified 6th
fastest, transferring from his heat and running the Passing Masters Dash. Grinding crash in the “B” main took out Ronnie Clark and Charlie Davis Jr.
There were several other minor tipovers on the night.

Steve Ostling spent his first night in the Fischer Motorsports #29 while Danny Ent wheeled Ostling's former ride, the Pratt Racing #12.

Interested observer was NASCAR Winston Cup star Tony Stewart.
