Belated Happy Birthday to Bill
Pratt who was celebrating his 77th birthday at The PAS on
March 1st. Two
days before he had painful surgery, but he was not about to miss a
race… Sprint Car Network Radio (SCN), which broadcasts World of
Outlaw events over the Internet, has instituted a new policy for the
2003 season. It is pay
per listen! The price
is $29.95 for the entire 2003 season or $5.95 a month!
Are you kiddin’ me? Hopefully

Interested spectator at the
SCRA race at The PAS on March 1st was 1996 World Speedway
Motorcycle Champion and current United States National Speedway
Champion Billy “The Bullet” Hamill.
In late 2001, Hamill attended an SCRA race at The PAS and
quickly signed up for a session at Cory Kruseman’s Sprint Car
School. As a youngster
Hamill competed against 2002 SCRA Rookie of the Year award winner
Bobby Cody in Junior Speedway…

Pomona Valley Quarter Midget
Racing Association’s Ernie Bose World Record Race will be at
PVQMRA track on 1st street in Pomona on Saturday and
Sunday April 12th and 13th.
Cars and drivers from around the west will be on hand.
Racing at as high an intensity level as you will find
anywhere. Admission is

much equipment was torn up in the marathon one-hour B Main the last
time SCRA was at The PAS? Some
estimates were between $40,000.00 and $50,000.00!
To bad the rain did not show up and hour and five minutes
earlier. Two scariest
tumbles in that event belonged to Bobby Cody and a double flip
involving 2002 VRA Champ Jimmy Crawford and Charles Davis Jr…
