THURSDAY AND FRIDAY FORMAT
All Participants will be awarded points for their performance in
Qualifying, Heat Races and the Mains for Thursday and Friday
night’s program. All cars will compete in both preliminary
night’s programs unless the field has over 64 entries before
October 23, 2002. Should this be the case, the field will be split
in two groups and the format will remain the same. If the field is
less than 64 entries and you can not compete in both nights program
the car will only be awarded points for that particular night.

QUALIFYING:
All cars will qualify (two laps).
D MAIN:
The D Main will be for all cars Qualifying 57th
and back up to a total of 16 cars. The D Main will be 8 laps. The
top 4 from the D Main will tag the back of the C Main.
C MAIN:
The C Main will be for all cars Qualifying 41st – 56th
plus the top four cars from the D Main. The C Main will be 10 laps.
The top 4 from the C Main will tag the back of the B Main.
HEAT RACES:
All cars Qualifying in the top 40 will be in the heat races.
There will be a total of Five (5) heat races with Eight (8) cars per
heat race. Each heat race will be fully inverted. The top four in
each heat race will transfer to the twenty- (20) lap main event. The
cars finishing 5th – 8th will go straight to
the B main. Each heat race will be Ten (10) laps. If the field has
been split there will be 4 heat races with Eight (8) cars per heat
race.
B MAIN:
The B main will have a total of 24 cars. All cars finishing 5th
– 8th in the heat races will make up the lineup for the
B main. The lineup will be straight up based on qualifying times.
The top 4 cars will transfer to the A Main. The B main will be
Twelve (12) laps.
A MAIN:
The A Main will have a total of 24 cars. The fastest Six- (6)
cars that transferred from the heat races will be inverted to make
up rows 1 – 3. The rest of the field (rows 4-12) will be lined
straight up according to qualifying times.
The A Main will be Twenty (20) laps.
SATURDAY NIGHT’S FORMAT
Saturday night’s lineups will be based on the cumulation of
points from Thursday and Friday nights’ program. If the field has not been split any ties will be broken based on Friday nights qualifying session.
Should the field be split in two groups any ties in total points
earned will be broken based on points earned in the preliminary main
events and should there still be a tie it will be broken by
qualifying times. Each transferring car will be given 20 minutes between each Main Event.
An air horn will sound when there is 5 minutes remaining. Any car
that is not in staging when the second horn is sounded at 20 minutes
will be sent to the back of the lineup.
LAST CHANCE RACE:
All cars that finished 61st and back in points from
Thursday and Friday will be in the Last Chance race. The line up
will be straight up according to points. The Last Chance race will
be Twelve (12) laps. The top Eight (8) will transfer to the back of
the D main in the order of the finish from the Last Chance race.
D MAIN:
The D main will have a total of Twenty-four (24) cars. The
lineup for the first Eight- (8) rows will be straight up according
to points starting with the 45th car on the pole and
going back to the 60th car. Rows 9,10,11 & 12 will be
the cars from the Last Chance race and they will lineup according to
their finishing order. The D main will be Fifteen (15) laps. The top
Eight (8) will transfer to the back of the C main.
C MAIN:
The C main will have a total of Twenty-four (24) cars. The
lineup for the first Eight- (8) rows will be straight up according
to points starting with the 29th car on the pole and
going back to the 44th car. Rows 9,10,11 & 12 will be
the cars from the D main and they will lineup according to their
finishing order. The C main will be Twenty (20) laps. The top Eight
(8) will transfer to the back of the B main.
TOP 12 – HOT LAP’S:
The top 12 cars in points from Thursday and Friday that are
locked into the A main will get Five (5) hot laps in one session.
B MAIN:
The B main will have a total of Twenty-four (24) cars. The
lineup for the first Eight- (8) rows will be straight up according
to points starting with the 13th car on the pole and
going back to the 28th car. Rows 9, 10, 11, & 12 will
be the cars from the C main and they will lineup according to their
finishing order. The B main will be Twenty (20) laps. The top Twelve
(12) will transfer to the back of the A main.

A MAIN EVENT
The main will have a total of Twenty-four (24) cars. The
lineup for the first Six rows will be the top Twelve- (12) cars in
points from Thursday and Friday. The HIGH POINT DRIVER will do the
inversion by rolling a giant dice down the Front Straight. The dice
will have 2 number 6’s; two number 8’s and two number 10’s.
Based on the roll of the dice the high point car will either start 6th,
8th or 10th. (Example if the roll is an eight,
the high point car will start forth row outside and the eighth point
car will be on the poll. Cars 9th and 10th
will make up row 5 and cars 11th and 12th will
make up row 6. Rows 7 –
12 will be lined up based on the finishing order of the B main. The
A main will be ONE HUNDRED
(100) LAPS. Once the first Fifty (50) laps are completed the
race will be red flagged. There will be a 20-minute break. You may
change anything on your car including a right rear tire. The Line up
for the second Fifty- (50) laps will be straight up according to the
finishing order including lap cars of the first 50 laps. The restart
will occur on the back straight with the cone. No passing before the
cone. Yellow flag laps
do not count. Should either Fifty-lap sessions have more than Twenty
(20) laps under the yellow, the race will be red flagged and only
fuel may be added. Any car that is modified during a fuel stop only
will be sent to the rear.
