USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Cars

In 2009, Santa Maria Speedway Promoter Chris Kearns founded the West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series. The non-winged 360 cubic-inch sprints had a 23-race schedule and 19-year-old Justyne Hamblin (pictured left) from Hanford claimed the inaugural series title.

The following year, the West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series signed on with the United States Auto Club (USAC) and veteran shoe Craig Stidham claimed the title. In 2011, young Richard VanderWeerd earned the series crown. While the division may be new, many of the stars have campaigned in Central California for years. Other star drivers include Peter Murphy, Rusty Carlile, Davey Pombo, Danny Faria Jr., Bud Kaeding, T.J. Smith, Wes Gutierrez, Ryan Bernal, and many more.
