1994 Season Notes

- Rip Williams won the inaugural SCRA event at Ventura Raceway on
November 13, 1993 in Jan Gaffney's #47.
- Gary W. Howard had the first SCRA Fast Time with a 12.006 over
the 27 car field at Ventura Raceway.
- El Centro's Imperial Raceway on Feb. 26th was the first Point
Race in club history.
- Ron Shuman won the 1st Driver's Championship, driving 4 different
cars. Anne Wilkerson, Jack Yeley, Bill Andrews, and Art
Meyer.
- Jan Gaffney won the 1st Car Owner's Championship. She was the
first woman Car Owner to win a California Non-Wing Sprint Car
Championship.
- J.J. Yeley won SCRA "Rookie of the Year" honors.
- Six different drivers won features.
- Ron Shuman led all drivers with 12 feature wins and 7 fast times
awards.
- Rip Williams won 7 Main Events and 6 Semi-Main victories.
- Rookie driver Cory Kruseman won 2 features for Harlan Hills,
coming at El Centro on April 30th and at Chico's Silver Dollar
Speedway on August 20th.
- Brent Kaeding won at Placerville Speedway on August 19th.
- Mike Kirby had 4 Trophy Dash wins and led 200 Main Event laps,
tops with SCRA.
- Ron Shuman won the Pacific Coast Open at Hanford's Kings
Speedway on October 7th.
- Rickie Gaunt won the November 25th "Dash For Cash" at
El Centro in Don Blair's #113 Sprinter.
- Rodney Argo won the Wagsdash on November 25th at El Centro.
- Ron Shuman won El Centro's Quaker State Classic on November
26th.
- Monte Faccinto had the "Best Passing Job" of the year,
coming at Hanford's Kings Speedway on October 7th. He started 20th
and finished 2nd to Ron Shuman at the Pacific Coast Open.
