MIDGETS- USCA SPRINTS: Being this was almost full moon night you could tell. The USCA Sprints ran a wild Main. First it was Pat Canfield in the lead then Jason Johnson took the lead. They tangled and both stopped in turn 3 against the wall. Now it was Mark Hinkle in the lead with Doug Kammerzell 2nd. After the restart for the Canfield/Johnson crash. The next 2 cars of Hinkle and Kammerzell tangled in turn 2. The race ran some green flag laps as P. Canfield and Hinkle came through the field. Hinkle hit a yuke tire in turn 4 braking the front end. He didn't know so he ran till turn 1 when in collasped the front end, He hit another yuke tire sending it on the track in front of Darren Rothe. The next restart Nick Canfield got pinched down in turn 3 and hit a yuke tire ending his night. P. Canfield moved into the lead with Kammerzell moving up fast. Coming to the white flag Kammerzell took the lead for the 3rd win of the year in Coronal Tony Offutt's car. For the Midgets they ran a green white checkard race with Lance Hallmark getting his first ever Main win Over Doug Kammerzell. Willie Sutton a Late Model Driver was driving in place of Greg Walters who was winning a Late Model race. Tony Parker joined us for the first time this year. |
