Bonus money claimed at Lawrenceburg
Jon Stanbrough claimed the sprint car feature victory and picked up the $1000 bonus offered to the first repeat winner in the sprint division in 2007 on Saturday. Stanbrough started fourth and moved forward quickly to set up a battle with Hanford, California’s Chad Boespflug for the lead. The fight for the top spot was brief as Boespflug’s motor expired in dramatic fashion on lap 6. Stanbrough dominated the rest of the way leading laps 7-25. Chad Boat’s second place finish was his best in 5 feature starts this season at The ‘Burg. AJ Anderson moved forward from 13th to fini sh 3rd and earned his 4th podium finish. Brent Beauchamp and Hunter Schuerenberg rounded out the top five with their best finishes of the season.
