RAPID SPEEDWAY NON-WING SPRINT CARS Commentary By Heather Riffel July 7, 2006-Rock Rapids, IA) Bret Mellenberndt, Jason Schoenefeld, Andy Hofmeyer, and Chad Graves were all repeat winners while Ryan Mulder, Jon DeBoer, and Don Gerritsen Jr. picked up their first wins of the year. Bret Mellenberndt took the race lead from Dana Buttemeier on lap two of the Heartland Racing Association Wingless Sprint feature. He went on to lead the remainder of the laps without challenge. He picked up his third win of the year and his second in a row. Behind him Doug Martens and Buttemeier battled for second. Martens secured second while Buttemeier finished in third.
