FEATURE: POINTS STANDINGS - 6/17 It will be an unusual night of racing all around as Orland Raceway presents Monday Night Racing and Fireworks on July 3rd. All times will be the same; pit gate opens at 4:00, grandstands open at 5:00 and racing begins at 7:00. It all just moves to Monday night; there will be no races on Saturday, July 1st. Grandstand admission prices are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids 6-12, $5.00 for seniors 65 and over. Kids under six will be admitted free of charge with an adult. This special event is co-sponsored by Carlee Shannon of Preferred Agents Real Estate, Taco Bell, and 103.5fm The Blaze. Willows' Dudley Burrows was super fast in his #26
Wingless Sprint, leading eighteen of 20 laps in the A-Main. But Josh
Jacobo took advantage of a yellow flag to pass Burrows for the win.
Josh Tucker also slid past Burrows to take second spot, which left
Burrows in third position. The three drivers put on a very exciting
charge for the checkered flag. Rob Worthington made his first
appearance of the '06 season and finished in fourth. Greg Higginbotham
suffered some engine troubles and settled for fifth position. |
