FEATURE:
POINTS STANDINGS - 6/3 Greg Higginbotham took his #11 Wingless Sprint to a
"clean sweep" with a heat race win, trophy dash victory and
the feature win, leading wire-to-wire in what looked like it would be
a yellow-flag-free event. A spin on the white flag lap caused the race
to be called, with Higginbotham's first victory of the season in the
record books. Former track champion Josh Jacobo crossed the line in
second with rookie Reyna Krueger holding on to a solid third place
finish. Taylor Simas took the fourth spot with Willows' Dudley Burrows
rounding out the top five. Burrows handed out "Burrows Racing/Yes
on Prop. F" tee-shirts to a very receptive crowd and invited fans
into the pits after the races so he could personally sign the shirts
for his fans. |
