ORLAND SPRINT CARS
Tony Richards was another repeat winner in the
non-winged Sprint division, coming from last to first by the fifth
circuit. Doug Butterfield finished in second, his best finish of
the season and an especially sweet one after a mishap in the trophy
dash caused him to spin out in turn two. Butterfield let his
anger show after the spin-out, and continued to spin numerous
"donuts" which resulted in a fine for unsportsmanlike
conduct. Josh Tucker took the third position, with Willows'
Dudley Burrows finishing in fourth and Corning's Bob Johnson, jr.
rounding out the top five. |
