Doug Butterfield of Oroville grabbed the lead of the Non-Winged Sprint Main Event and held the position until Superman Tony Richards of Chico pulled ahead at the half-way mark. Richards and Adam Schroer started on the last row and charged ahead together to take the one-two positions by the 11th lap.  While Butterfield dropped to third, Orland's Greg Higginbotham was charging ahead and took the second spot from Schroer on lap 17.  When the checkered flag flew, it was Richards, Higginbotham, Schroer, Butterfield and Nathan Johnson of Corning nabbed the fifth position.

   Racing will resume on June 18th featuring all five regular divisions as Napa Auto Parts of Orland offers prizes and goodies for race fans Racing begins promptly at 7:00 PM.  Adult admission price if $8; kids and seniors are $4; under six or over 70 are free.  More information about the Raceway may be obtained by calling 530/865-2409.
