The number 13 was an unlucky one for the Sprint
division. Their main event was plagued with yellow flags, four
in the first five laps. Ed Butterfield lead the race until lap
thirteen when Tony Richards attempted to pass Butterfield. The
two cars came together, causing both cars to suffer flat tires and
sidelining them both for the evening. Scotty Pierson, in his
first visit to the track this season, charged ahead to take the lead
and the win after the race was shortened. Another visitor, Tony
Silveira took the second spot, with locals Don Emery, Nathan Johnson
and Ed Butterfield rounding out the top five. Adam Schroer took
the trophy dash win in his #29 machine.
Racing will resume on June 11th featuring all five
regular divisions for R&R Sales Night at the Races. More
