POINTS STANDINGS - 5/23 Tony Richards and Chris Webber were back with wheel-to-wheel and side-by-side Wix Filters Sprint Car series action. Richards jumped to an early lead, with Webber hoping to repeat his Friday night success. It looked like he had yet another win as Chris made a spectacular move passing Tony on the 14th circuit, but Tony proved to be a better manager of lapped traffic and as the two sliced through, Tony regained the lead and held on for the win. Ed Butterfield was close behind, waiting for either driver to make a mistake, but Richards backed up his trophy dash win with a feature victory. The track will be dark for the Memorial Day weekend. Racing will return on Saturday, June 5th featuring Wix Filters Sprints, Pure Stocks, Mini Trucks, Mini Stocks, Mini Modifieds and Hornets. It will be Les Schwab Night at the Races, and double points night for competing drivers. Rules for all divisions are available on the website, orlandraceway.com or by calling 530/865-2409. |
