Webber Finds The Groove at Orland Raceway's Annual Fair Races
Under a backdrop of flashing lights, carnival rides and the distinct aroma of corn dogs and cotton candy, Orland Raceway's Friday night fans were treated to a night of excitement as they watched 15-year-old Chris Webber maneuver his #40 Wix Filters Non-Winged Sprint through the high groove with the savvy and ability of a veteran. Webber found his groove early on and was the only Sprinter of the night who could completely use it to his advantage. Tony Richards and Ed Butterfield, both feature winners this season, were unable to catch Chris, who swept the night with a Trophy Dash win, a heat race victory, and his first main event win of the season. The 2003 Rookie of the Year is currently running first in the Wix Filters Sprint Car Series points chase.

After a one night break for a Derby, Orland Raceway returned with the Sprints and Hornets for a fun filled Sunday night event. Rules for any division, or a complete schedule of events can be obtained by calling the track office at 865-2409, or visit their website: www.orlandraceway.com.
