Darrell Hanestad drove to his
second victory in a row, repeating last week's first place finish with
the win on Saturday night in the Wingless Sprint Main Event.
Hanestad wasted little time moving from his tenth place starting
position, working his way through the pack before assuming the lead.
Hanestad, who was in lapped traffic for much of the race, commented
"that was a lot of fun." Jim Perry Jr. and Joey Santos
battled back and forth for the second spot, with Perry Jr. claiming
it. Santos was followed by Jason McIntosh, who led the race
early on, and Bob Newberry. Billy Fraser was uninjured during a
spectacular first lap feature flip that sent his car through the sound
wall, landing in the trees outside the race track.
