TULSA, Okla. (July 28, 2005) – An explosive week of
wingless, 410-ci Sprint Car racing is rapidly approaching as the
six-race O’Reilly Sprint Bandits Tour N’ Topless swing kicks off
with Southern Iowa Speedway’s $30,000-to-win Ultimate Challenge on
Tuesday night, August 9.
Part of Southern Iowa Sprint Week, Oskaloosa’s annual wingless
challenge, which offers $500 just to start the main event, is the
first of six nights of Sprint Bandits TNT throughout Iowa, Nebraska,
Oklahoma and Kansas.
The wingless Sprint Bandits tour resumes six nights later at
Nebraska Raceway Park’s I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE, on Monday
night, August 15. After a day off for travel, action resumes at
Oklahoma City’s State Fair Speedway on Wednesday night before
moving up the turnpike to Tulsa Speedway on Thursday night, August
16. The events at I-80 Speedway, State Fair Speedway and Tulsa
Speedway each pay $4,000 to win.
The O’Reilly Sprint Bandits TNT swing wraps up with the annual
two-night wingless clash at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS,
with the Saturday night, August 20, finale offering up $10,000 to
the winner.
The O’Reilly Sprint Bandits TNT swing features open-head 410-ci,
wingless sprint cars. The right rear tire must be a medium or hard
Hoosier. A minimum weight rule of 1,200 lbs. without the driver will
be in effect.
