VENTURA RACEWAY FREE FOR KIDS 12 AND UNDER IN 2009
|
VENTURA, Calif. (Jan. 13, 2009) – With the announcement of its 2009 racing schedule due out this week, Ventura Raceway announced today a revision to its ticket prices.
For the 2009 season, children aged 12 and under can attend races at the track free of charge, when accompanied by an adult paying the general admission price.
“We’re making it easier for an entire family to have a night out together,” said Raceway Promoter Jim Naylor.
For most events, General Admission costs $14. Prices will be higher for some special events. But kids 12 and under will always get in free in accompaniment of an ticket-buying adult in 2009.
“We have second and third generation fans in the grandstands now,” Naylor said. “One reason is that our prices have always been very attractive to families.”
Ventura Raceway is the only successful professional sports franchise in Ventura County history and is by far the longest-tenured entity at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.
The Raceway begins its 31st season on March 14.
