MAY 11, 2009 --- The 39th running of one of America's most revered Sprint race - the "Tony Hulman Classic," is next up on the 2009 USAC National Sprint Car calendar. The race at the Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track is sponsored by Terre Haute First Financial Bank and Clabber Girl.
Dave Darland, who won the "Tony Hulman Classic" in 1993, continues to lead the series standings after rain forced cancellation of last Friday night's race at the Bloomington (Ind.) Speedway.
Darland is one of at least four former race winners expected to compete at Terre Haute. The others are defending champion Levi Jones (2005 and 2008), Jon Stanbrough (2002 and 2007) and Tracy Hines (2001).
