SOKOLA SHOOTOUT INCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN AND RACE SCHEDULE!
|
(FEBRUARY 13, 2009, PERRIS, CA) Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian has announced that if inclement weather hit’s the track and forces postponement of the February 28th Sokola Shootout, featuring the USAC/CRA & National Sprint Cars and the USAC Western & National Midgets, it will be rescheduled for Sunday, March 1st.
“Hopefully we will not have to worry about it,” Kazarian said on Thursday. “However, with all the rain we have had the past ten days, we want to assure fans and race teams we will do everything possible to ensure the show gets in.”
Time of the rescheduling would probably be in the afternoon, but would be contingent on how long it takes to get the track back in shape.
In addition to the inclement weather plan, Kazarian wanted fans and teams to know that in expectation of a huge field of cars on the 28th, the track will have special times. The pit gate will open at noon. Front gates and the driver’s meeting will take place at 2:00 PM. Wheel packing will commence at 3:00 with qualifying beginning at 4:45 and the first race at 6:50.
