MTS Sprints opener Sunday May 24th at Crystal Motor Speedway |

The MTS inc. Sprint series will start out the 2009 season this Sunday night at Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal, Michigan. Defending MTS champion Mike Galajda along with former champion Steve Irwin are expected to compete while Nick Landon, Mark Irwin, Mike Astrauskas, and a large group of other drivers begin their quest for their first championship. The 2009 season opener will see some new drivers taking on the series and a few returning to competition. Veteran driver Keith Love returns to sprint car competition, while newcomers Bobby Jackson and Roger Hunyady look to increase their involvement with the series during the 2009 season. They join an already strong cast of drivers looking for the 2009 MTS point title. Crystal will also run a regular show on Saturday the 23rd consisting of, 4 Cylinder, Street Stock, Pro Stock, Pro Truck, IMCA Mods, Late Model. Crystal Motor Speedway always has LOTS of FREE camping! Practice begins at 5:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30. Adult tickets are $10.00 while kids 4-11 are $4.00. |
