ASCA Sprints and Moms Night Highlight Canyon
|
MAY 6, 2009 --- Ground pounding non-wing sprint car action returns to Canyon Speedway Park this Saturday night. Tom Ogle pulled off the upset win last time out taking the lead late in the race to earn his first win at Canyon. The ASCA sprints have had three different winners in three races at Canyon. Josh Pelkey and Nathan High have also had main event wins. The last race at Canyon saw four different leaders during the chase to the checkers until Ogle finally took command at the end.
AMMA Winged Modified Midgets, SW Modlites, DDCC Dwarf Cars and Super Stocks are also scheduled for action.
To help celebrate Mothers day all Mom's in attendance will be given a ticket upon arrival for gift drawings to be held throughout the night. Over fifty gifts are going to be handed out courtesy of Kid Kampus Child Care Center and Canyon Speedway Park.
Canyon Speedway Park will continue with its audio webcasting of our events accessed by a link on our tracks website. The webcast begins at 7:00pm with a quick preview of the nights racing activities and then you can listen to all the action from the announcers booth during the event.
Fans are also encouraged to bring an fm radio headset to listen to all the action broadcast over our low level fm transmitter to the grandstand area.
This week's webcast is brought to you by Quick Response Fire Protection, Double D Motorsports and our newest sponsor Boarhog Blowguns where you can purchase your hunting and target shooting supplies.
Even though this is a Mother's Day celebration we can't forget the guys in attendance so Boarhog Blowguns will be giving away Coleman 2 Man Tents, Coleman Survival Heater, and a Coleman Back Packers Table and Gear System. These giveaways will be done throughout the night with your admission ticket stubs.
Racing begins at 7:30pm. Spectator gates open at 5pm. Admission is just $15 for adults, $13 for Seniors and Military with Children 12 and under always free.
