WESTERN SPRINTS AT ALTAMONT JUNE 28; SWANSON GETS 2ND 100-LAP VICTORY AT ROSEVILLE

JUNE 2, 2008 --- Tanner Swanson of Kingsburg, Calif. will lead the USAC Western Sprint Cars back to Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, Calif. June 28, holding a 14-point lead over Nick Rescino Jr. in the latest series standings. Swanson will be aiming for a third consecutive series triumph and he also won the main event at Tracy May 17.
Swanson scored his second 100-lap USAC Sprint Car feature win of the season Saturday night at All-American Speedway, leading the final seven laps of “Sprint Mania” in the TK Motorsports Keith Williams Eagle/Chevy. Swanson also won the 100-lap USAC National race at Anderson, Ind. May 21. Trailing Swanson at the finish were Rescino, who led the first 93 laps, Porter Smith, Eric Humphries and John Sarale.
Swanson was also Saturday’s fastest qualifier at Roseville.
