ROSEVILLE MAY 31 NEXT FOR WESTERN SPRINT CARS;
SWANSON LEADS SERIES AFTER ALTAMONT VICTORY

MAY 19, 2008 --- Tanner Swanson of Kingsburg, Calif. leads the 2008 USAC Western Sprint Car standings going into a May 31 race at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif.
Swanson, USAC’s 2007 Carolina Ford Focus Champion and “Rookie of the Year,” earned his third career USAC Western Sprint feature win Saturday at Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, Calif. He led the final 37 laps in his TK Motorsports Keith Williams Eagle/Chevy. Greg Anderson finished second ahead of Eric Humphries, Nick Rescino Jr. and JoJo Helberg.
Swanson was also the fastest qualifier, while Rescino led the first 13 laps of the feature. Swanson leads Rescino by just five points going into the Roseville race.
Shane Hmiel won the 2008 series opener at All American Speedway, a race in which Swanson and Rescino finished fourth and fifth respectively.
