ROCKY MOUNTAIN SPRINTS RETURN TO SLC MAY 10;
WESTERN SPRINTS RESUME MAY 17 AT ALTAMONT;
BURDETT PICKS RIGHT UP WHERE HE LEFT OFF IN 2007

APRIL 28, 2008 --- Nick Rescino Jr. of San Francisco, Calif. and JoJo Helberg of Rohnert Park, Calif. lead the Western and Rocky Mountain Sprint car standings respectively after their second and third-place finishes in Saturday night’s 50-lap feature at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Western Series continues May 17 at Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, Calif. while the Young Automotive Rocky Mountain Sprints return to action May 10 in the Utah capital.
Defending Rocky Mountain Champion Ryan Burdett of West Jordan, Utah won Saturday night’s feature. The race offered points toward both the Western and Rocky Mountain Sprint Car championships.
Burdett trailed Helberg for 32 laps, then led the final 18 in his FRB Welding/S & H Terminal Wysong/Chevy to beat Rescino, Helberg, Porter Smith and Kody Swanson.
