WINDOM, JONES, MILLER NOTCH TOP EARL’S POINTS IN WEEKEND ACTION |

JUNE 16, 2008 --- Chris Windom, Levi Jones and Blake Miller earned top qualifying honors in weekend USAC racing action, enhancing their chance at winning 2008 Earl’s Fast Qualifier Championships posted by Holley Performance Products. Windom was the fastest National Sprint qualifier at Winchester, Ind. Thursday, while Jones paced Sprint qualifying at Rossburg,Ohio Saturday. Miller was the top USAC/CRA Sprint qualifier at Santa Maria, Calif. Saturday. Earl’s champions will be crowned in the K & N Silver Crown Championship Series presented by Optima Batteries, the National and Western Sprint Car Series, the Mopar National Midget Series, the Western Midget Series and the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series. Each 2008 Earl’s Fast Qualifier Champion will receive a #750 cash award, while runners-up will receive $500 each and third-place finishers will get $300 checks. Points are awarded at each event featuring qualifications and are based on an international points system offering nine points for the fastest qualifying time. Second through sixth fastest qualifiers also earn points on the scale of 6-4-3-2-1. Driver eligibility is based on display of Earl’s logos or patches on the driver uniforms and display of Earl’s decals on both sides of the race car.
