AUGUST 11, 2008 --- Jerry Coons Jr. leads the USAC K & N Silver Crown Championship Series presented by Optima Batteries to Springfield, Ill. Cameron Dodson of Greenfield, Ind. won Sunday’s “Casey’s General Stores 100” USAC K & N Silver Crown race at Iowa Speedway, leading 74 of the 100 laps around the 7/8-mile paved oval, including the last 38. Pole starter Shane Hmiel was one of several drivers involved in race incidents and failed to finish. There were no driver injuries.
