ROUND SIX OF SIDE-BY-SIDE OFF ROAD NATIONAL SERIES AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY!
|
(AUGUST 5, 2008, PERRIS, CALIFORNIA) This Saturday night, August 9th, Don Kazarian’s famous Perris Auto Speedway will host high flying action when Round Six of the Side-By-Side Off Road Racing National Series takes over the famous Riverside County speedway. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM with racing at 7:00.
Saturday’s show will be the first Off-Road race at The PAS in over a decade and promoter Don Kazarian is looking forward to it. “We expect a great night of racing and we want to welcome Stadium Style Off Road racing back to The PAS for the first time in a long while,“ the promoter said upon returning from vacation earlier this week. “We have not had an Off Road race in over ten years. In fact the last time we had one, NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Casey Mears was in the field.”
Fans attending Saturday’s show will find a challenging course that not only utilizes most of famous half mile clay oval, but also the entire infield. “Todd Cunningham came out and helped us set up what we believe is a very challenging and fan entertaining track,” Kazarian said. “We expect the show to be very exciting not only for the fans, but for the drivers as well. We will have more than ten classes in action. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.“
If the name Cunningham sounds familiar to fans at The PAS it should. In 2000 and 2001, the Corona racer won the championship in the Extreme Truck Class on the half mile oval. Another familiar name, USAC/CRA Sprint Car star “Dynamite” David Cardey, is also expected to be in action on Saturday night.
Saturday’s show will be the first of three for the Side-By-Side National Series at The PAS in 2008. Other dates are September 6th and November 9th.
