MAKE-UP DATE ANNOUNCED FOR MSCS

Haubstadt, IN - July 18, 2008. Officials of the Hoosier Tire Midwest Sprint Car Series are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with Union County Speedway Promoter Tom Wieck to reschedule the MSCS race rained out at the speedway on July 3rd. The new date will be August 22nd which is a Friday night. The purse will be the same as announced for the original date. The 25 lap feature will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start.
The new August 22nd date provides fans and race teams a weekend of exciting non-wing sprint car racing. A race at Twin Cities Speedway for the next night August 23rd was already on the MSCS schedule. After Friday nights race everyone can plan to move on down to Twin Cities Speedway for another $2,000 to win show, Both tracks are 3/8s mile tracks. The driving distance between Liberty and North Vernon, IN, is about 75 miles.
The make-up date puts Southeastern Indiana tracks under the spotlight with half of the final eight events on the MSCS schedule now set for the region. Union County Speedway also has a second MSCS date on Friday September 12th. The season ends for series drivers with the Lawrenceburg Nationals on October 4th.
