Marysville CA - May 1, 2008. In a brief statement, promoter Paul Hawes noted that he is implementing a contingency award program for drivers at Marysville Raceway Park for 20 events.
According to promoter Hawes, while writing his weekly Promoter’s Corner, he said, “Racers at Marysville Raceway Park will be sporting a few more decals than normal (in the week’s to come). Marysville Raceway Park is one of two California tracks selected to operate in partnership with Contingency Connection to add more prize money to our racers payoffs. For the next 20 races contingency monies will increase the top purse in the MRP Wingless and MRP Winged Sprint Cars by $150,000. That is added to a year-end bonus of another $150,000. Hopefully our work at getting more money to our racers will increase car counts and keep our racing family a little more fiscally sound thru the year.”
Please contact promoter Hawes or this observer for additional information. Promoter Hawes will address the new program at the driver’s meeting this Saturday night.
