MARCH 17, 2008 --- The USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series returns to Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway March 29 for a complete program of racing, topped by a 30-lap feature.
Jeremy Sherman of Surprise, Ariz. won Saturday night's "Tribute to the Bromme Family" USAC/CRA Sprint Car feature at Manzanita Speedway, leading the final 28 laps after passing Danny Sheridan on lap three.
Trailing Sherman's F & E Development/Arizona Racemart Maxim/Priestley at the checkered flag were R.J. Johnson, Mike Spencer, Tyler Brown and Jesse Hockett. Spencer's finish boosted him to within five points of series leader Cory Kruseman, who did not compete at Manzanita.
Sherman became the sixth different USAC/CRA feature winner in seven outings this season, joining previous race winners Kruseman, Shane Cottle, Blake Miller, Jones and Sheridan.
Kruseman and Sheridan own victories at the Perris oval this year, Kruseman scoring back-to-back wins in early-February. Krusemans lead over Spencer stands at just five points, with Jones just five back of Spencer in third.
