Benic Month of Money
|
AUGUST 12, 2008 --- In sprint car racing, the month of August has long been considered “the month of money.” In 2008, August has been a race to the bank for members of the Benic Enterprise team.
Donny Schatz took home the biggest winged sprint car race of all, riding his AFCO by BENIC Shocks to victory in the 48th annual Knoxville Nationals. The $150,000 payday was a record 3rd in a row for the 2-time and defending World of Outlaw Champion Schatz, all on AFCO by BENIC Shocks!
Dave Darland drove Scott Benic’s #2B Maxim 5-Bar Chassis with 4 new INTEGRA by BENIC Adjustable Shocks to beat the best in the business at the biggest non-wing sprint event of the season at the Ultimate Challenge USAC event in Oskaloosa, IA. The $30,000 victory was the 3rd in 5 attempts at Oskaloosa for the 2B team, all using the same Gaerte Engine.
Greg Hodnett also brought home a $30,000 paycheck before heading to Knoxville for the nationals. Hodnett, who recently made the switch to AFCO by BENIC small body shocks, started 7th and dominated the field in the Dream Race Extreme at the Port Royal Speedway in Pennsylvania.
Wayne Johnson had a week that most racers only dream about at Knoxville. Wayne won the coveted title of “Mr. Sprint Car” as high point man during the Southern Iowa Speedweek. Using AFCO by BENIC shocks on his Maxim Chassis, Wayne won the Friday prelim to the ASCS 360 Nationals before rocketing to the front for his 2nd $10,000 ASCS 360 Nationals triumph on Saturday. Johnson then bolted the same AFCO by BENICs on his 410 Maxim and was victorious to the tune of $12,000 for the Wednesday prelim at the 48th annual Knoxville Nationals, locking him solidly in the field of the prestigious event.
Meanwhile, back in Indiana, Brady Short was busy destroying the non-wing competition with his 5-Bar Maxim Chassis. Brady and his AFCO by BENIC adjustable M2 gas pressure shocks won on August 1st at the Bloomington Speedway before grabbing the $10,000 glory at the Hoosier Sprint Nationals in Haubstadt, IN on August 2nd.
Benic Enterprises would also like to congratulate Broc Burton (Paragon, IN) and Brett Burdette (Lawrenceburg, IN) as they both picked up their first career victories respectively. Burdette also went on to sweep the doubleheader at Gas City, IN on August 8th. Also, congratulations to Dustin Daggett for his ASCS SOD victory at I-96 Speedway on August 8th and Justin Henderson for a solid top 10 at the Knoxville Nationals.
When the chips are down and the big money is on the line that’s when you need great racing products. Winners choose Benic Enterprises. To find out more information about gaining the BENIC advantage, please contact us at 765-948-5758 or at advantage2b@yahoo.com.
