Davis Sweeps Manzy for Fourth ASCS Canyon Region Triumph! |

Lonnie Wheatley, PHOENIX, Ariz. (June 7, 2008) – Charles Davis, Jr., captured his fourth Discount Tire Co. American Sprint Car Series Canyon Region feature win of the season by charging to the checkered flag in Saturday night's 30-lap main event atop Manzanita Speedway's 1/3-mile clay oval. Davis worked his way forward from the seventh starting position to take command midway through en route to victory lane aboard the Don Ott-powered Massey Motorsports Rod End Supply No. 50 DRC to complete a sweep of the night's racing action after claiming earlier wins in the Trophy Dash and his heat race. Davis was chased to the stripe in the feature event by current series points leader Jeremy Sherman, with tenth-starter Josh Pelkey, ninth-starter Mike Martin and 12th-starter Seainn Hendricsen rounding out the top five. Nathan High was sixth, with Jeremy Reagles in seventh. Mike Colegrove earned Hard Charger honors by racing from 23rd to eighth, with Mike Leslie and Jeff Henry completing the top ten. Davis, Reagles and R.J. Johnson won the heat races, while Davis opened the night with a Trophy Dash win. Discount Tire Co.
