Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (January 16, 2008) – After a robust inaugural season in 2007, the American Sprint Car Series Canyon Region has released its schedule for the upcoming 2008 season.
It will be an action-packed season for the American Sprint Car Series' only non-wing Region, with the series currently slated for 29 nights of racing action.
Following Parker Stores Tech Day on March 1, the engines fire to life one week later with the first of 19 scheduled cards atop Manzanita Speedway's 1/3-mile clay oval in Phoenix, AZ.
The series will also take to Manzanita Speedway's ½-mile clay oval on a handful of occasions along with three stops at Tucson's USA Race Park and a pair of events at Casa Grande's Central Arizona Raceway.
The series wraps up the 2008 season with the $5,000-to-win ASCS Non-Wing Western World Championships at Manzanita Speedway on November 6-8.
