(Oxnard, CA 6-14-07) Saturday night June 23, is a very special night at Ventura Raceway as the Eddie Mulder West Coast Vintage Flat Track Motorcycle Series invades the 1/5 mile oval racing facility located at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura California. That might marks the return of vintage flat track motorcycle racing that has been enjoyed by Ventura County fans for many years. Last year the event took a year off, so the return of this exciting form of oval racing on June 23 is even more anticipated.
The Eddie Mulder West Coast Vintage Flat Track Series runs throughout California and is making the stop here at Ventura as a part of its season of exciting motorcycle racing. Former AMA National Number 12 racer Eddie Mulder has designed this series to appeal to the racers and fans. The series features 14 classes ranging from youth 50cc bikes all the way up to the Digger Pro 600 class. Other classes racing that night include a Senior Class for riders 50 and over, a Vet Class for riders 35 and over and an open “Run What Ya Brung” Class which is always a crowd favorite. There are other classes for a variety of bike sizes and ability levels. With over 100 riders expected to race on Saturday night, the racing should satisfy any fan of this exciting sport.

Pit gates open for this event at 12:00 noon with front gates opening at 3:00pm. Racers will go onto the track at 3:00pm for warm-ups. Racing will get under way at 5:30pm. Admission to this event is $18.00 for adults, $15.00 for seniors/military and juniors, $7.00 for kids 7-12 and kids 6 and under free.
