September 24, 2007 --- Levi Jones will lead the Lucas Oil USAC National Sprint Car Series to Perris Oval Speedway for the November 1-2-3 “Budweiser Oval Nationals.” He emerged from Saturday night’s race at Rossburg, Ohio with a 71-point lead over Darren Hagen after the two finished 14th and second respectively in the 30-lap feature. Jones flipped during practice at Eldora Speedway but was able to drive his backup car in the 30-lap feature.
Robert Ballou of Rocklin Calif., just as he did at Eldora earlier in the season, dominated Saturday’s Eldora race, leading the final 23 laps in his Behavior Consultants/Building Solutions Alliance Maxim/Ott. The win was his second in National competition.
Hagen, who led the first seven laps, was second ahead of Jesse Hockett, Brad Sweet and Dave Darland, who ranks third going into the November western swing.
