August 27, 2007 --- Levi Jones of Olney, Ill. will take his 104-point Lucas Oil National Sprint Car lead over Darren Hagen into the September 22 “4-Crown Nationals” at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
Last Saturday night’s scheduled race at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio was rained out.
Jones will be seeking his fifth victory of 2007 when the series reaches Eldora for this year’s one-day event. He hasn’t won since June but the last 13 races have yielded 10 “top-10” finishes, including a pair of seconds and a pair of thirds.
A 30-lap feature will be on tap at Eldora, with this year’s USAC “tripleheader” of K & N Silver Crown, Lucas Oil National Sprint Car and National Midget competition condensed into a single day and night.
