ISW WRAPS UP AT BOSWELL, BLOOMINGTON & HAUBSTADT; STANBROUGH TRIPLES, DARLAND & CLAYTON ALSO WIN
JULY 16, 2007 --- Jon Stanbrough of Jamestown, Ind. leads the 2007 Lucas Oil “Indiana Sprint Week” standings as the eight-race series enters its final three venues this week. Stanbrough, who won three times last week, is 15 points ahead of Levi Jones going into Thursday night’s race at Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, Ind. Bloomington Speedway hosts Friday’s race and the Saturday night finale is at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt.

Stanbrough kicked off the 20th Annual Lucas Oil “Indiana Sprint Week” by winning Wednesday night at Lawrenceburg Speedway in his Jarvis Enterprises/AED Motorsports Products DRC/Foxco. He added a victory Saturday at Gas City I-69 Speedway and on Sunday night he won the “Bob Darland Memorial” at Kokomo Speedway. In between he finished 13th at Lawrenceburg and 10th at Gas City.

Dave Darland of Lincoln, Ind. and Daron Clayton of Sikeston, Mo. also tasted victory in the first week of the eight-race spectacular. Darland wheeled his Pace Brothers Construction/DSR Maxim/Chevy to victory in Thursday’s “Robbie Stanley Classic” at Lawrenceburg and Clayton won Friday night’s race at Gas City in the Dynamics, Inc. Kroger/Tide – Bounty/Pringles F5/Mopar. Clayton was subbing for Jerry Coons Jr. who was competing in Friday’s USAC Silver Crown race at Chicagoland Speedway.

Brady Bacon led the first 14 laps at the Gas City opener, then Stanbrough led the rest of the 30-lapper to beat Darland, Bacon, Chris Windom and Darren Hagen. Scotty Weir and Brady Short both led during Thursday’s Lawrenceburg race before Darland shot to the lead on lap 16. Short finished second ahead of Jones, Weir and Shane Cottle. Weir led the first two laps at Gas City Friday but Clayton led the rest to beat Jones, Hagen, Weir and Bacon. Jones led the first five laps at Saturday’s Gas City race before Stanbrough got by. Jones finished second ahead of new track record holder Dustin Morgan, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Jesse Hockett.

Sunday’s “Bob Darland Memorial” looked like a family affair until the final lap, when Dave Darland, after leading the first 29 laps, slipped behind Stanbrough and Cole Whitt at the checkered flag. Hagen and Morgan completed the top-five.
