JUNE 12, 2007...The revised eight-race 2007 Indiana Sprint Week slate,
featuring the Lucas Oil USAC National Sprint Cars, now includes two tracks which
will host back-to-back events for the first time in series history.
The new schedule calls for opening races July 11 and 12 (Wed.-Thurs.) at
Lawrenceburg Speedway, followed by July 13 and 14 races (Fri.-Sat.) at Gas City
I-69 Speedway. The Sunday, July 15 venue remains at Kokomo Speedway.
The following week opens with the July 19 (Thurs.) race at Kamp Motor
Speedway in Boswell, while Friday’s July 20 race remains at Bloomington
Speedway and the Saturday, July 21 finale remains at Tri-State Speedway in
Haubstadt. The race at Boswell was originally slated July 18 but was moved back
to Thursday.
The additional events, replacing recently deleted venues, are courtesy of
race organizer Dave Rudisell (Lawrenceburg) and Jiggs Thomason (Gas City).
“We are pleased that these tracks have stepped forward to fill the gaps,”
says USAC National Sprint Coordinator Greg Staab. “This allows our original
concept of a two-week slate to mature to eight races and gives racing fans a
sensational tour.”
