APRIL 13, 2007...Inclement weather forecasts, including cold temperatures
and possible snow, have forced postponement of Saturday night’s scheduled
Lucas Oil USAC National Sprint Car Series opener at Twin Cities Raceway Park in
North Vernon, Ind. Similar weather forecasts for Sunday previously postponed the
Banjo “Glen Niebel Classic” events at Anderson (Ind.) Speedway.
The North Vernon race, sponsored by Indiana Stone Works of Bedford, Ind., has
been rescheduled for Tuesday night, May 22, which will kick off America’s most
spectacular week of motorsports competition.
Following the North Vernon race, the Banjo 100 USAC Sprint race and
accompanying USAC Kenyon Midget event at Anderson Speedway are slated May 23,
followed by the May 24 USAC Sprint race at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway, the May 24
Regional Midget, Kenyon Midget and Focus Midget “tripleheader” at New
Castle, Ind., the May 25 “Hoosier Hundred” USAC Silver Crown race at the
Indiana State Fairgrounds, the May 26 Toyota “Night Before the 500” Midget
race at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis and the May 26 PayLess “Little
500” USAC Sprint race at Anderson Speedway, all leading up to the May 27
Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!
The 2007 Lucas Oil USAC National Sprint Car Series is now scheduled to open
April 21 at the Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway, followed by the April 22 “Rich
Vogler Classic” at the Winchester (Ind.) Speedway.
