THE WAIT IS OVER – 12TH ANNUAL BUDWEISER OVAL NATIONALS THIS WEEK!

(OCTOBER 30, 2007, PERRIS, CA) For the past four months we have hit you with the hype on the 12th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply. Now the hype is over and we offer cold, hard facts!

WHAT: The 12th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply. Three nights of full point paying races for the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars, Lucas Oil USAC National Sprint Cars and anyone else who has the guts to take on the best. All cars race all three nights - it is the toughest race in the country for traditional Sprint Cars. 

WHERE: The state of the art Perris Auto Speedway located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds (home of the Southern California Fair) in Riverside County. Take the 215 to the Ramona Expressway and go two miles east to the fairgrounds. The track is located at the base of the Lake Perris Fairgrounds. Approximately one hour east of Los Angeles and one hour north of San Diego.

WHEN: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Thursday and Friday will features qualifying, heat races, preliminary mains and an A main event both nights. Saturday will be all main events capped by a 40-lap A main. Spectator gates will open at 4:00 PM on Thursday and Friday with qualifying starting at approximately 5:00 PM. Spectator gates will open at 3:00 PM on Saturday with the first race starting at 6:30.

WHY: $30,000 to win Saturday’s A main and a one of a kind specially designed champion’s ring. And, the satisfaction to say you beat the best of the best.

WHO: More than 70 of the fastest Sprint Cars and top drivers in North America. Thus far, drivers from eight states have entered along with drivers from two provinces in Canada. The field includes 18 of the top 20 in USAC/CRA points and 16 of the top 20 in USAC National Sprint Car points. A few more entries are expected at the gate on Thursday.

PURSE EXTRAS: Lakeside, California’s B&B Heavy Equipment has stepped on board and will pay the $1,000.00 point bonus to the top 360 point scorer from Thursday and Friday (combined). They are also paying $1,000.00 to the top point scorer overall from the first two nights and will pay another $500.00 for a new track record set on the weekend. In addition, the top finishing 360 on Saturday night will also receive a $1,000.00 bonus.

TELEVISION: The final night of the Oval Nationals will be taped for the Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour on the Versus Network. It will be shown on November 22nd at 5:00 PM EST. The Versus Network is available to more than 70,000,000 homes across the USA. 

OTHER EXTRAS: 

October 30th - The 2nd Annual ITI Performance Motorsports Oval Nationals Golf Classic at the Moreno Valley Ranch Golf Course followed that evening by the tournament banquet. 

October 31st - Oval Nationals practice session, which is free for the fans in the grandstands. 

November 3rd – The Annual Pick-a-Part $1,000.00 to win Corn Hole (bean bag) Tournament. 

Drivers and cars lining entrance to meet the fans when the spectator gates open at 3:00 PM. Drivers meeting held in the grandstand area so all fans can attend. Live music.

November 4th - Cory Kruseman Sprint Car Driving School. 

Other: Pits open every day until 1:00 PM for the fans. 

Dance contest for the kids each night.
